Lincoln Park/Coast Cultural District, Inc. is a not for profit developer selected by the local municipal government to transform 8 acres of land just south of Newark’s Central Business District. This unique project incorporating environmentally sensitive materials and systems will provide a LEED certification. The proximity of expanding cultural programs at Newark’s Symphony Hall and plans new market rate housing with artist work space included for residents brings a new model of housing types to New Jersey. This development brings together a mix of rental and home ownership available. New prototypes for townhouse with studio/office space are included. The design creates a pedestrian friendly, mixed-use community, blending artist housing units, commercial spaces and recreational facilities for singles and families.
